Great pump so far. Pushes water out my one jet into my 24' round above ground pool like a fire hose. This 1.5 horse has twice the flow of my old 2hp pump. Pool has been clean and clear all summer, gives great suction for vacuuming pool bottom. Only dislike is the O ring in the lid which fall out when removing. You must replace and make sure it is seated when replacing top or it will leak. Other than that, great item. Hope it last longer than six months like my last two cheaper pumps.

I am a big fan of Hayward pool products and this is a nice pump. You can sweep longer with the basket being bigger. My BIG issue is that it takes 3 of us to empty the basket. 2 to keep the water inlet and outlets blocked while the third person empties the basket. Everytime you try to put the lid back on, if you don't block the water, the water blows the rubber o-ring out of the lid. Haven't been able to figure out a way to keep it from happening. Anybody have any ideas? This is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars. Fast delivery, excellent price and great packageing.

We ordered this as a replacement for a Hayward pump that died. The first one we received was cracked and we had to send it back. This item is heavy and with very little packing in the box. The box had a hole in it when we received it from federal express. When we went to return this, Amazon told us they couldn't ship out a new one until the old one was returned, which would have taken, awhile. We ordered another one so we could get it quicker. We received a credit about 7 days later for the broken one.
The pump was easy to install. It circulates the water wonderfully. You can feel the pressure when you put your hand over the return inlet. It was a lot stronger than our previous pump. We took it inside in the fall to protect it from the freezing temps.
